Production of Capacitors
Tantalum foil capacitors are a central electronic component in consumer electronics (hi-fi devices, computers, TV-sets, etc.) as well as in modern communication equipment, such as cellular phones, and vehicle construction. The centerpiece of a capacitor are porous sintered compacts made of fine tantalum powder, which have to be sintered under high vacuum. To connect this centerpiece with exterior contacts, lead-in wires made of tantalum are required.

PLANSEE tantalum wires meet the high requirements concerning chemical, electrical and mechanical characteristics, and are therefore applied successfully for these components. |
PLANSEE supplies:
- Ta-wires connecting sintered anodes
- Ta-foils, sheets and rods
- Complete sintering equipment for the capacitor manufacturing
