Growing Oxidic Monocrystals
Oxidic monocrystals are used in the electronics and optical industry. When manufactured on the basis of the Czochralski process, high-purity powder is melted in spun or deep-drawn molybdenum or tungsten crucibles.
 |
The starting crystals are clamped in seed chucks made of molybdenum. To increase the drawing speed, heat shields made of pure molybdenum are used. |
PLANSEE supplies:
- Seamless crucibles made of molybdenum or tungsten
- Seed chucks
- Heat shields
