Glass Finishing - the coating of glass
For the coating of architectural glass by the PVD process, multi-section bonded sputtering targets in lenghts of up to 3.8 metres are used. They are made of tantalum, chromium or CrNi. Resistance-heated evaporation sources made of refractory metals are used to produce optical anti-reflection and filter coatings to aluminum metallise visual display screens, headlight reflectors or bulbs for incandescent lamps.
