HIP Furnaces
The HIP furnace is a component of a hot isostatic press and consists of a heating system and thermal insulation. PLANSEE produces components for the HIP furnace, which is mounted within the pressure vessel. The complete heating system consists of molybdenum-based materials and is fastened to a supporting basket with ceramic insulation, or to the inner support-cylinder, which is made from Mo or TZM.

According to the method of construction and the requirements, such furnaces can be equipped with rapid cooling systems, which need Mo or TZM components (rotor, stator etc.) because of the high temperatures involved. |
