Motor vehicle headlamp systems - be it a 2- or a 4-headlamp system - are generally equipped with halogen lamps nowadays. Therefore lamps made of hard glass and qartz glass designs are used. Modern headlamp systems are also equipped with discharge lamps filled with Xenon gas.
