PLANSEE welcomes the flat-screen community.

30 representatives of material and system manufacturers met in Reutte recently to discuss trends and challenges in the flat screen industry. The German Flat Panel Display Forum (DFF) organized the event, which was hosted by PLANSEE Metall GmbH. The working group meeting focused mainly on the issues of markets, materials and production technologies.

The entire supply chain for the TFT LCD flat-screen industry is facing a number of pressing issues at present, such as constantly rising demands for high picture quality and the growing importance of China as an end customer market, following comprehensive state subsidy programs. A further key trend is that of manufacturers increasingly using tube-shaped sputter targets as a material in new coating systems.
