Meet us at SVC TechCon 2021

Our coating experts will be present at the SVC Technical Conference from May 3rd to 7th, which will be held virtually this year. We will provide you with all the information about our activities in the field of vacuum coatings.

Our materials and application experts will be presenting at the "Vendor Innovator Showcase" at this year's virtual conference. Christian Linke and Peter Polcik will talk about new developments on sputtering targets. Their presentation "Sputtering targets by powder metallurgy for display, energy and hard coating applications," will take place on May 5th. In addition to recent results on dark molybdenum oxide coatings for display applications, the presentation will provide an overview of sputtering targets made from nitride, carbide and boride materials. Harald Köstenbauer is also participating at the conference with a poster contribution on "Resistance reduction in molybdenum films by seed layer application". The focus is on sputtered molybdenum films with lowest electrical resistance. In cooperation with the Austrian Institute Of Technology (AIT), there is another joint poster contribution dealing with sputtered transparent molybdenum oxide films for special types of thin film solar cells.

From the raw material to the finished product: including the development of new materials and the optimization of our coating methods and coatings. Sintering is the cornerstone of our powder metallurgical production process. This is the method we use to manufacture compact metallic components from porous powder blanks. With the world's largest hot rolling mill for refractory metals, we produce planar targets of maximum density. In addition, we use special deformation processes to manufacture our rotary targets.
