New training center: 11 million Euros invested

The Plansee Group has invested eleven million euros in a new training center. It has now been officially opened - nine months later than originally planned due to the corona pandemic - in the presence of Tyrol's Governor Günther Platter. The new building in Reutte creates space for the training of up to 240 apprentices in six technical apprenticeships.

"With this new building, Plansee is sending a clear signal that the training of skilled workers will become even more important for entrepreneurial success in the future. I offer my sincere congratulations on this," said Governor Günther Platter at the official opening in Reutte.

"With more space, a modern machinery park and new technologies, we are creating the conditions to be able to offer our apprentices top-level training in the future," said Karlheinz Wex, Spokesman of the Executive Board of the Plansee Group. The company trains exclusively for its own needs. After successfully completing their apprenticeship, young skilled workers are offered permanent employment.

The new training center provides 2,700 square meters of space for practical training. The equipment is set up according to the main areas of training: manual work, turning, milling, grinding and CNC-controlled machines. In addition, the Plansee Group has invested in new equipment for 3D printing and grinding. The CNC machines are equipped with the latest software for computer-aided manufacturing processes (CAM technologies).
