Numerous applications for Digital Days 2019

Summer break program: Tremendous interest in technology and digitalization

Participants of the first Digital Days in 2018

Interest is tremendous in this year's Plansee Digital Days—having received more than 100 applications, a drawing was held to choose the participants. During the Plansee Digital Days, boys and girls learn how to design and print their own 3D object, program robots, and develop their own app and implement it all the way to a clickable prototype.

Plansee Managing Director Ulrich Lausecker says: "We were very excited about the large number of applications and the related interest in digitalization and technology. Since we have a limited number of spots, a drawing had to be held to choose the participants." Lausecker announced that the Digital Days would also be held in the coming year. Any applicants not able to participate this year are cordially invited to re-apply next year.

The Digital Days are organized for 12- to 14-year-olds attending any school in the Außerfern region. The summer break program is free of charge for all selected participants. The Digital Days were developed by the Technical University of Munich UnternehmerTUM (Center for Innovation and Business Creation at TUM) and have been conducted with adolescents in a number of workshops.
