Our MSC cells on tour.

In the future, our Metal Supported Cells (MSC) are to be used to transform energy in mobile applications such as in trucks. From April 8 to 12, they will be on tour with our experts at the Hanover trade fair.

Metal supported cell Short start-up times, low weights and high performance: Our MSC cells are the ideal solution when it comes to supplying energy in mobile applications. And our experts are working together with research institutes and other partners to continuously improve these cells. We use powder metallurgical techniques to manufacture the interconnects and the porous substrate for the electrochemically active cells from a dispersion strengthened iron-chromium alloy with a 26% chromium content.

Visitors to the Hanover trade fair will also be able to discover our chromium-based interconnects for use in stationary Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC fuel cells). Using our powder metallurgical production process, we can manufacture net shape interconnects. The gas supply channels and surface contours are present as early as the initial production stage during which the powder is pressed. Thanks to the presence of a cathode protection layer, which we also apply, the components are ready for immediate use. Find out for yourself.
