Tungsten lamp

Crimp connectors as welding aids for lamp production

Tungsten filaments in halogen lamps and support pins made of molybdenum-lanthanum-oxide (ML) have different melting points. We have developed ribbons made of molybdenum or molybdenum-yttrium oxide (MY) that enable the materials to be joined reliably and durably. They serve as tubular welding aids. The tube is placed over the end of the tungsten filament, crimped, and welded onto the ML pin. We provide ribbons made of molybdenum and molybdenum-yttrium oxide (MY) for the production of these tubes. MY ribbons are more suitable for welding than pure molybdenum.

Your advantages at a glance:

  • The narrowest production tolerances

  • High surface quality for error-free production

  • Ideal for automated series production

  • Highest material purity for optimum welding seam quality
