Crimp connectors made of molybdenum

Molybdenum and MY crimp connectors.

The tungsten filaments used in halogen lamps and the molybdenum-lanthanum oxide (ML) support pins have different melting points. Despite this difficulty, our molybdenum or MY tubes can be used as connectors to join the materials permanently and reliably.

How does it work? The end of the tungsten filament wire is inserted into the tube, crimped and welded to the ML pin. We supply molybdenum and molybdenum-yttrium oxide (MY) ribbons for the production of these tubes. MY ribbons are easier to weld than pure molybdenum.

With our fully automated, modern production equipment, we can guarantee that our materials benefit from very narrow width tolerances and a flawless surface. In this way, we are able to help extend the lifetime of your halogen lamps.

Count on smallest tolerances.

Our MY and molybdenum ribbons are available in thicknesses of 0.08 to 0.12 mm manufactured to a tolerance of ± 0.0075 mm. We supply widths of 2 to 5 mm with a tolerance of ± 0.02 mm.
