Plansee Japan celebrated the grand opening of the new production hall

On February 28th, Plansee Japan celebrated the grand opening of the new 5,000 sqm big production hall that marks another milestone in the 30 years successful development of manufacturing in Esashi.

Today, more than 100 employees produce products for various applications, like, for example, the Semiconductor – Lighting – and Medical – Industry.  Furthermore, also fabricated products for the Electronic – or High Temperature applications are made at the Esashi site.

As Mr. Lausecker remarked in his welcome address, Japan represents still one of the most important markets for Plansee and with this enlarged footprint, Plansee Japan Ltd. will be able to react more rapidly to emerging industries. Mr. Aldrian emphasized the fact that the additional production space offers not only new opportunities for the local market but also for the HPM production network.

The Esashi production team presented state of the art production concepts and gave an outlook of the site development for “Plansee Japan 2031". At the opening ceremony Mr. Shimokawa thanked all employees who contributed to the success of Plansee Japan Ltd.  At the same time seven employees were honored with the “Plansee 30 years long-term service needle”.
