We celebrated this milestone with an official ceremony that was attended by distinguished guests from the Austrian Consulate in Shanghai, the government of Lingang, valued customers, partners, as well as the management team and long-term employees.

Plansee China celebrates tenth anniversary
There was cause for celebration at our production site in Shanghai, China, in October this year as we marked the tenth anniversary of the site's founding.
The Plansee plant founded a decade ago in Shanghai has played a key role in our global expansion strategy right from the start. Fifty Plansee colleagues from around the world supported the setup of the site in 2013, working as a team to roll out the latest technologies and helping their new Chinese colleagues feel at home in the Plansee family.
In his address, Andreas Feichtinger, Managing Director at Plansee HPM, emphasized that a clear vision, hard work, and tenacity play a key role in a company's success:
"Plansee's success comes down to our proximity to our customers. We have formed strong relationships within our global network that allow us to develop innovative material and technological solutions based on molybdenum and tungsten."
Over the past ten years, the site in Shanghai has become a driving force within our global network and a reliable development partner for our customers. Looking to the future, we will be continuing to promote business development in the region and investing in technologies, facilities, and training for talented people.
Richard Cheung, Managing Director at Plansee Shanghai, says that another focal point is developing the company in a sustainable way:
"We want to be a secure, attractive, and reliable employer while also doing our part to protect the environment. In addition, we want to help our customers achieve their sustainability targets. That's why we are focusing on ongoing innovations, both at our production site in China and at our locations around the world."
