ICMCTF 2024

Plansee at ICMCTF 2025

The 51st ICMCTF will take place from May 11 to 16, 2025 in San Diego, USA. The International Conference on Metallurgical Coatings and Thin Films is the leading conference in the field of thin film deposition, characterization and advanced surface technology. In the Grand Exhibit Hall at booth 322, we will present our customers a selection of sputtering targets and arc cathodes for hard coating, which are characterized by highest material purity, high density and a fine-grained microstructure.

In addition to interesting poster presentations and scientific talks, you can also look forward to many interesting discussions at our booth.

Conference program 2025

The technical symposia at ICMCTF 2025 focused on processes, materials, characterization, modeling, and industrial applications.

The key symposia topics for Plansee included:

  • Protective coatings and coatings for high-temperature applications
  • Functional thin films and surfaces
  • Tribology and mechanics of coatings and surfaces
  • Surface engineering—Applied research and industrial applications

Sustainable surface engineering was the specific focus of the topical symposia at ICMCTF 2025. New approaches to the sustainable development of surface engineering were presented in the form of coatings for batteries, hydrogen applications, solar thermal energy conversion, thermoelectric energy conversion, and (photo) electrocatalysis as well as circular strategies for surface engineering.
